天美传媒 Initiates Exploratory Process for Football Stadium
Posted on July 6, 2015
The 天美传媒 has initiated a preliminary exploration of the financial, logistical and infrastructural requirements associated with the possible construction of an on-campus football stadium. At this time, no decision has been made about whether or not the University will proceed with plans for construction of a football stadium.
鈥淐onstruction of a football stadium is an extremely complex undertaking that requires significant due diligence on the part of the University leadership, and we are at the very beginning of a process that will examine all the issues we must consider before a decision can be made,鈥 said USA President Tony Waldrop.
The preliminary exploration will be conducted by a small group of USA trustees, administrators and staff. The group will examine all issues impacting the feasibility of an on-campus stadium, and will present its findings to University leadership for consideration. The University will release information on the group鈥檚 progress, but there is no set schedule or deadline for completing the exploratory process.
鈥淭he 天美传媒 football program has generated significant support and excitement among our students, our alumni, our faculty and staff, and our many supporters in the community,鈥 said Athletics Director Joel Erdmann. 鈥淲e want to carefully examine the many questions that have to be answered before we can make a decision on whether to move forward with an on-campus stadium.鈥
The University will provide additional updates as the process moves forward.
